O-MED SR Capsule is a product of Madman Pharmaceuticals, and it is formulated as a combination of two active ingredients:

1. Omeprazole (EC): Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat conditions related to excessive stomach acid production. Similar to Rabeprazole Sodium in the previous response, Omeprazole also works by blocking the action of proton pumps in the stomach lining, which reduces the production of acid. This helps in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcer disease, which are caused by excessive acid reflux and acid-related damage to the stomach and esophagus.

2. Domperidone: As mentioned earlier, Domperidone is a dopamine receptor antagonist that helps in relieving symptoms of nausea and vomiting. It also aids in promoting better movement of food through the digestive system, which can help in reducing stomach discomfort caused by gas or acidity.

Uses of O-MED SR Capsule: 

O-MED SR Capsule is primarily used to treat the following conditions:

1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Also known as acid reflux or heartburn, GERD is a condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, causing irritation and discomfort. O-MED SR Capsule helps in reducing stomach acid production, thereby relieving the symptoms of acidity, heartburn, and stomach pain associated with GERD.

2. Peptic Ulcer Disease: Peptic ulcer disease involves the development of open sores (ulcers) on the lining of the stomach, small intestine, or esophagus due to the corrosive action of stomach acid. O-MED SR Capsule aids in reducing acid secretion, which can promote healing and reduce pain in individuals with peptic ulcers.
